Getting Around Santa Clarita

We have 8 local bus routes to provide you with fast, reliable service in air-conditioned comfort. All of the City of Santa Clarita Transit routes are wheelchair accessible and bicycles are welcome. These routes run daily according to the published schedule, except on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.

Additionally, the City of Santa Clarita operates 20 transit Supplemental School Day Service routes to help alleviate overcrowding on the City’s regularly scheduled local bus routes. Supplemental School Day Service is open to the public and provides transit service to various areas within the Santa Clarita Valley. These routes are only available on school days during peak morning and afternoon travel times.

To get you around the Santa Clarita Valley
Routes 1 & 2	Service between Canyon Country (Whites Canyon) and Castaic/Val Verde via Downtown Newhall, with stops at the Via Princessa and Newhall Metrolink Stations
Routes 3 & 7	Service between Seco Canyon and Six Flags Magic Mountain
Routes 4 & 14	Service between LARC Ranch (Bouquet Canyon) or Plum Canyon and Newhall via College of the Canyons. Select trips to the Senior Center
Routes 5 & 6	Service between Newhall/Stevenson Ranch and Canyon Country (Shadow Pines and north of Sierra Hwy) with stops at the Newhall and Santa Clarita (Soledad) Metrolink Stations

City of Santa Clarita Rider Etiquette: A few tips for the road.

• When arriving at the bus stop to board the bus, please be courteous to people who have been waiting before you.

• Avoid using the seat next to you as storage for your belongings when other passengers need a seat.

• Please keep your voice low and talk time to a minimum when using your cell phone.

• Headsets used for electronic devices are for your ears only, so please keep the volume low.

City of Santa Clarita Transit uses technology to monitor buses and works closely with SCV Sheriffs and School Districts to ensure the safety of our passengers.
